Instructions for Submission

How to submit?

For submission, authors should fill in and send the submission form (in Google Forms format), available on the symposium website or announcements.

Structured abstract format

Following the title of the paper and author information, all submissions should include a structured abstract between 800 and 1500 words. Abstracts should be written with Times New Roman font, 10 font size and 1,5 line spacing. All abstracts should be followed by 3 to 5 keywords. Participants should use the structured abstract template for submission.

The structured abstracts to be submitted for evaluation should comply with the APA 7 citation style. For more information about how to cite in APA 7th format, please visit the website at https://apastyle.apa.org/style-grammar-guidelines.

Please ensure that the structured abstracts;

-provide theoretical or empirical results,

-are not under review by any other symposium or publication elsewhere,

-have not been presented or published elsewhere before,

-are free of any form of plagiarism. If any kind of plagiarism is detected, then the Symposium committee has the right to reject the paper at the beginning of the review cycle.

Submission Evaluation Process

Submissions received at the 5th International Media Studies Symposium will be forwarded to two independent reviewers for evaluation. In case of an acceptance and a rejection, it will be sent to the third reviewer to make the final decision. The process includes double-blind peer review.

Certification

A digital participation certificate will be sent to all participants after their presentations at the symposium.
