Submission for IMS 2024 is open!

Submission is open for the 5th International Media Studies Symposium (IMS 2024), which will be held between 29-31 May this year, hosted by Akdeniz University Faculty of Communication. Allowing both face-to-face and online participation, the Symposium aims to be an interdisciplinary platform for national and international researchers to discuss artificial intelligence within the framework of the theme "The Future of Communication in the Age of Artificial Intelligence", which it has determined to address this year. IMS 2024, which will be honored by surprise guest speakers as well as Prof. Dr. Dietram Scheufele from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, will also host a panel where the industry and academia will come together on the same platform and discuss the phenomenon of artificial intelligence in theoretical and practical terms, as well as workshops on different branches of communications discipline (journalism, radio-TV-cinema, PR & advertising) for the prospective communications professionals under the leadership of experts in the field.

Submissions for the 5th International Media Studies Symposium, which will be enriched with panels and workshops as well as academic presentations, will be accepted until April 15, 2024 at 23:59 (Istanbul local time). Researchers who want to participate in the Symposium will need to complete a structured abstract form of maximum 1500 words and follow the steps in the Submission Instructions. Submissions accepted after the double-blind peer review process will be announced on April 22, 2024.
