Submission

All submissions must be prepared in accordance with the structured abstract format provided below and sent via e-mail to the Symposium Secretariat at ims@akdeniz.edu.tr.

Participants who will present at the symposium are kindly requested to sign the Informed Consent Forms and submit them to ims@akdeniz.edu.tr.

Participants who do not wish their presentations to be broadcast live are kindly requested to inform the Symposium Secretariat via e-mail at ims@akdeniz.edu.tr.

Structured Abstract Format

Following the paper title and author information, all submissions must include a structured abstract between 800 and 1500 words. Abstracts should be written in Times New Roman, 10-point font, with 1.5 line spacing. At the end of the abstract text, 3 to 5 keywords should be provided, clearly reflecting the content of the study. Participants are kindly requested to use the structured abstract template for submission.

Structured abstracts submitted for review must comply with the APA 7 referencing style. For further information on APA 7 citation guidelines, please visit https://apastyle.apa.org/style-grammar-guidelines.

Please ensure that structured abstracts meet the following requirements:

• Provide theoretical and/or practical contributions,
• Must not be under review for another conference or publication,
• Must not have been previously presented or published elsewhere,
• Must be free of plagiarism.

In cases where plagiarism is detected, the Symposium Committee reserves the right to reject the submissions.

Paper Submission Evaluation Process

Submissions to the 6^th International Media Studies Symposium will be sent to two reviewers for evaluation. In cases where one acceptance and one rejection decision are received, the manuscript will be forwarded to a third reviewer for a final decision. The review process follows a double-blind peer-review system.
